We don’t encourage you to do it. So we won’t confirm whether or not you’ll like it. We won’t even discuss the possibility of finding a partner in the act or how long it will take before you’re addicted. But if you defy all of this... we are here to make sure you’re safe!
Tuition is knowledge and the human race has been in pursuit of knowledge throughout history. To this day education is one of the most important investments anyone will ever make. However, tuition fees can stand in the way between that individual and their pursuit of knowledge. This October come out and rally together with us to lower tuition fees and increase government subsidization for post secondary education! We are going to urge the government to sponsor education directly and highlight the scary fact that students are graduating with very high student debt! Education is a right!
The city of Peterborough will be holding a municipal election in the month of October. The decisions that will be made by the municipality directly affect student life and your experience in the Peterborough community. We’re going to have a forum where candidates can express their campaign platforms throughout the month of October. Early voting will take place on October 13th in front of Bata library. If you live here as a student you’re eligible, and strongly encouraged, to vote! The main voting will be taking place October 25th in the same space. So come out and have your say in the community.
In solidarity with those in our community who are less fortunate, Trent students donate their time and resources to help out a worthy cause. As well as fundraising, students gain an understanding of the circumstances and lives of many underprivileged individuals in the Peterborough community. This week includes a multitude of fundraisers and lectures as well as a barbeque. Come out and volunteer, attend, and donate to help support the Trent and Peterborough community.
Exams weighing heavily on your mind? Stressed out about roommates? Partners? Family? Distress is a time to come out and relax. This week will be full of events and activities to help you get your mind off of anything that’s bothering you and promote mental health among students. Come get a massage, sleep, read, eat, or just hang out with your favorite student union!
